Saltee Ferry

The Saltee Ferry operates daily, shuttling visitors from Kilmore Quay to the Saltee Islands. This scenic journey provides a chance to witness diverse wildlife, with puffins being a highlight for photography enthusiasts. The islands are a haven for seabirds like puffins, gannets, and seals, offering a unique and captivating experience for nature lovers.

An Crosán and An Foracha, the ferry boats, are licensed by the Department of Transport and fitted with a full inventory of safety and lifesaving equipment. Each boat is licensed to carry up to 12 passengers. The departure point for the Saltee Ferry is at the top of the harbour in Kilmore Quay beside the boat launching slip. We advise that you are at the Saltee Ferry gate 10 minutes prior to your trip.

Parking is available behind the harbour wall in the free public car park. We strongly advise that you leave plenty of time to get to Kilmore Quay and to find parking as it is a bustling little harbour in the summer months and parking can be limited.

Tickets can be booked online at www.salteeferry.com
