There’s nothing quite as rejuvenating as a walk along Wexford’s beautiful coastline
Kilmore Quay
The Ballyteige Burrow Loop at Kilmore Quay is a gorgeous coastal walk South Wexford. The 4.5 km walk starts at the harbour car park with fantastic views of the Saltee Islands leading to Ballyteige Burrow. The trail passes the Memorial Garden that was built to commemorate those lost at sea. The waymarked trail continues adjacent to the dunes looping back along the beach. Extend your time in Kilmore Quay by refuelling with a meal in some of the cafés and restaurants in Kilmore Quay after your walk.

Rosslare Harbour
Rosslare Harbour is already a popular spot for holidaymakers as the home to Rosslare Europort. Skip the ferry and discover Rosslare – the best way to see it is by walking the two trails in the area. Choose the Village Trails to explore the village or the 3.5 km-long Cliff Top Trail for coastal views.
The Cliff Top Trail has spectacular views of the harbour and its surrounds and is particularly striking on a sunny day in the Sunny South East. If you need to take a breather, you can simply relax and watch the ferries go in and out of the busy harbour below. Make a day of it in Rosslare and stop by Rosslare Beach, just 15 minutes from the harbour.
Raven Point Wood
Although this trail takes walkers through the woodlands, the Raven Point Wood Trail offers walkers views of one of the most unique coastal areas in the county. Raven Point is at the tip of the coast of Wexford and is also part of Curracloe Beach, so there is a beautiful sandy stretch on the edge of the woods.
The woodland walk itself is just under 7 km long, but it is impossible to visit Raven Point and not take a stroll along the sand dunes. Across the water, you’ll be able to see Wexford town in the distance from Raven Point. This coastal area is a memorable walk, and you will want to visit again!

The Cahore Point Trail is a newly waymarked walk at Cahore Point in North Wexford. The looped walk is almost 5 km in length and runs along the cliffs from Cahore Pier to Old Bawn Beach.
