Art in the Open

Art in the Open, now in its 18th year, which has grown to a 10-day internationally recognised event with over 200 artists taking part. It attracts some of the best outdoor painters from around the globe. Renowned for its friendliness and relaxed atmosphere, our participants can be seen painting the wonderful Sunny South-East’s landscapes leading up to a major exhibition in Green Acres Gallery on Saturday/Sunday 26/27 July 2025.

 

Registration, €100, will entitle participants to attend all or some of the seven paint out days at beautiful pre-selected locations, exhibit at the festival and be eligible for festival awards. Also included with your registration are  the Forum, Lectures and Presentations and the Social Night early in the week. Workshops, Coach Travel and the Festival Dinner will be available to book in January.

 

The festival invites to public to join and interact with the artists as they capture our beautiful landscape throughout the week and join us for the exhibition of 200+ paintings at the end of the festival. Artists of all levels are welcome and we also host a Charity Quick Draw event which is open to non-registered artists and takes place in Wexford town on Saturday 19th July.
