Located in New Ross, County Wexford, Corcoran’s is the type of pub where you go in a stranger and come out almost a ‘local’. Such is the friendly atmosphere that you can have a chat at the bar or find a quiet corner to sip your pint and read a book. Situated in a medieval part of New Ross, Corcoran’s is one of the oldest pubs in the area, with five generations of continuous ownership dating back two centuries.
The present owner’s Grandfather, Mike Corcoran, was a Shipping Agent and had close ties with all the major shipping companies including, Cunard, White Star and the French Line. It was always said when somebody had decided to emigrate to America or Australia, their first port of call was Mike Corcoran’s pub to arrange tickets and visas.
Today there is a wide range of shopping and historic memorabilia displayed in the pub.
There is traditional Irish music on Thursday evenings and live music sessions on, Saturday and Sunday.
Parties and groups catered for with complimentary finger food most evenings.
