Courtown Beach
Courtown beach is located approximately 6 kilometres south east of Gorey.
This lovely beach is made up of fine sand and has extensive coastal protection works all along the boundary between the dunes/woodland and the beach itself. The village of Courtown is located around a harbour and canal system making for a nice spot to grab an ice cream after a stroll on the beach. The beach itself is relatively narrow around the main access points but is worth the wait once it expands in width the further north you travel.
Lifeguards are on duty during the summer months and more information can be found on the notice boards located at the beach.
The beach has received the International Blue Flag award for 2018.
