Flowers and Chocolates

Norman Stevenson, an acclaimed industrial designer turned photographer known for their evocative and deeply personal compositions, is thrilled to announce the upcoming exhibition “Flowers & Chocolates”.

This unique showcase will be held at 2 Rowe Street Lower, Wexford from 19 October to 2 November, daily from 11:00 – 19:00 [*Closed Mon 21st, Tues 22nd and Tues 29th].
“Flowers & Chocolates” explores the delicate interplay between the ephemeral beauty of wilted flowers and the timeless allure of hand-crafted couverture chocolates. Each photograph in this collection not only captures the subtle gradations of decay in flowers but also juxtaposes them with the intricate designs of chocolate sculptures, creating a profound narrative on beauty, loss, and transformation.
“The process of capturing these images was a journey into the often overlooked aesthetics of decline and the surprising elegance found within it,” says Norman. “This exhibition invites viewers to find beauty in unexpected places—where the wilted petals and chocolate textures converse in silent harmony.”

The exhibition features a series of thirty photographs, each telling its own story while contributing to a larger thematic tapestry. Highlights include works such as “Silent Surrender,” “Gossamer Veil,” and “Sapphire Sentinel,” which showcase Norman’s ability to transform the ordinary into the extraordinary through meticulous attention to light, texture, and composition
