Gorey St.Patrick’s Day Parade 2025

Going Green for this year’s Gorey

St.Patrick’s Day Parade

The Gorey St.Patrick’s Day Parade will return on Monday, March 17th to the streets of Gorey and this year the town will be ‘Going Green’ as the 2025 theme. The parade will begin at 3pm and will showcase some of Gorey’s best local organisations, businesses, charities and sporting groups.

Cathaoirleach of Wexford County Council Cllr Pip Breen said: ‘Sustainability is becoming ever more important and we should be celebrating Ireland’s green credentials as we celebrate our national day.’ This year, trophies will be awarded for the best presented floats, groups and displays. The judging panel will be awarding additional marks for the creative use of recycled materials.

St.Patrick’s Day is about celebrating the people that make up the community and so we welcome applications from all interested parties that wish to take part. Application Forms are available from the Loch Garman Arms and Gorey Civic Offices.

Gorey St.Patrick’s Day Parade are currently looking for nominations for Grand Marshall and this year the committee are particularly interested in nominations of people who have driven green initiatives locally. Nominations and a brief description can be sent to gorey@wexfordcoco.ie

So on March 17th, wear your green and join us on Gorey Main Street for our annual St.Patrick’s Day Parade. The parade will take place from 3pm and showcase some of the best local organisations, businesses and sporting groups that call Gorey their home.
