Sessions, Storytelling & Live Music Wexford
Music sessions and evenings of storytelling are found at the heart of Ireland’s entertainment scene. So, if you’re looking to experience the authentic culture of a truly Irish Session head on out to any of the sessions listed below. Not only will you find the best traditional music Wexford has on offer, there’s also plenty of nights hosting Rock ‘n’ Roll, Jazz, Blues, Pop and Acoustic sessions too amongst the live music Wexford supports.
It’s also worth noting that it isn’t out of the ordinary to come across a spontaneous sing-song in smaller, rural pubs at any given time. You’ll learn that you don’t always need a reason to start a session, just people to join in.
And if the pub isn’t your scene why not visit a story house which you’ll find dotted around County Wexford. It’s a lovely tradition where locals host story telling nights where everyone is welcome and encouraged to show up and join in.
