Here’s everything you need to know before you set foot at Enniscorthy’s Rockin’ Food Festival 2024.
From May 3-6, 2024, Enniscorthy is going to be rockin’ with food vendors, top chefs, artisan food and drink producers, and exciting special guests. To help make your experience exceptional, here’s a breakdown of what to expect before you arrive this May Bank Holiday Weekend….

DAY 1
Opening Night Ceremony
Date: Friday 3rd of May 2024
Time: 8.30pm
Location: The Promenade
DAY 1 gets underway on Friday with a firework-filled official opening of The Rockin’ Food Festival with music by Loose Arrangements, followed by Fireworks – The Slaney skyline will transform into a fantastic fusion of colour, during the spectacular fireworks. *Top tip – for best views of The Slaney Skyline, climb aboard The Big Wheel on The Promenade) (sponsored by The Riverside Park Hotel & Enniscorthy Credit Union )
DAY 2
Date: Saturday 4th of May 2024
Time: 10.00am
Location: Town Centre
Food vendors will provide quite the diverse selection of food options all weekend. Everything from brick & mortar to food trucks to unique vegan options will be on display in the centre of town. Moreover, some of the most artistic and creative merchants in our region will have their products on display. Stop by and check out what local producers from Wexford Food Family will be showcasing. Join The Trolls and The Minions in the Atheneum from 11.30am as they kick off with a big disco, for all their friends! (Disco suitable for children Age 4+) or join the expert crew in Via Veneto at 12 for pizza making classes for kids (BIG & small) – The Drinks Marquee in The Market Square will be open for your festival beverages. Kids (and parents) can rock their socks off with Rock ‘n’ Roll Dance Classes in The Market Square at 12.30pm.
The Food Marquee kicks off @ 12pm with The Baking Goddess, followed by Talk & Taste sessions with local producers Earth Food, Mor Taste Jam, and Clovelly Coffee. Live Chef Demonstrations from Paul Hynes at 1pm (La Cote Restaurant & The Cheeky Cod) and one of Ireland’s favourite chef’s Kevin Dundon takes to the stage at 2pm.
Enniscorthy Community Allotments will play host to a range of talks and children are welcome to decorate the May Bush Tree or learn to grow their own Strawberry Plants with local strawberry grower Cyril Wheelock.
DAY 3
Date: Sunday 5th of May 2024
Time: 10.00am
Location: Town Centre
Sunday kicks off with the Artisan Food & Craft Market in full swing from 10am. Kids can enjoy a huge range of Arts & Crafts activities in Enniscorthy Castle (book before you go!) and why not join the Paw Patrol on their Cookie Hunt from the Atheneum @ 12pm.
The Food Marquee Opens from 11am – 5pm kicking off with a live demo ‘All About Meat’ from award winning local craft butcher Alan Kennedy, aspiring bakers will be judged by RTE’s Chef Shane Smith as they prepare some creative sweet treats in the Junior Bake Off from 1pm – 2pm followed by a Baking Demo from Shane Smith from 2pm – 3pm. The Food Marquee will be alive and kicking with John Whelan from ‘Dine with the Devil’ who will put a devilish twist on how he likes his strawberries @ 3pm.
Pop by St. Mary’s Church for Face painting, Soccer games with Wexford FC special guests & their Therapy Dog ‘Lucky’ who will visit from 2pm – 4pm.
Rock along to some of the best Irish & International bands on the Main Stage over the day – including the International Jive Competition Finals at 3pm.
DAY 4
Date: Monday 6th of May 2024
The Promenade
The Funfair remains in town on Bank Holiday Monday and the Rock ‘n’ Roll Town Weekender Final Jam session takes place in The Waterfront Marquee @ 2pm.

The Rockin’ Food Festival Information Kiosk will be located outside Enniscorthy Castle – please drop by to pick up a Festival Map when you arrive!
PARKING
On street parking is available throughout the town and visitors can also park in 1798 Centre, CBS Carpark, Parnell Rd Carpark (Old Dunnes Carpark) Disabled car parking is avaialble in the AIB Carpark, Slaney Place.
TRAVELLING WITH SMALL CHILDREN
Baby changing facilities are available in St. Mary’s Church on Church Street. This is also the dedicated Festival Quiet Zone for those that may feel overwhelmed by the festivities.
Toilet Facilities are available on The Promenade, Church St, and The Market Square.
Please be advised if visiting Enniscorthy Castle, the venue is not currently wheelchair accessible
